Our 2016 season started with a new Manager, new coaches, new training facilities – a new approach from the top down, all three teams training at the same time in the same venue with good facilities (its not mosney) i’m talking about. The average age of the first team has dropped dramatically, even including the two seans , and there is a great unity in training and coaching for all teams which can only serve to drive standards up and allow players to reach their true potential. This is all due in no small part to the redoubtable Pete whose influence, experience, common sense and good humour is something the club has been lacking for a long while. At the moment we are lying second in the table and in a way I hope we don’t go up and take another year to consolidate our background teams, administration, and what we have started and when we go up we are ready and able.
